Where is Texas Glampgrounds located?
Texas Glampgrounds is located at 236 Fieldstone Ridge in Johnson City, Texas, in the heart of the Texas Hill Country Wine Trail. We're approximately 1 hour west of Austin, 20 minutes east of Fredericksburg, and surrounded by dozens of award-winning wineries and tasting rooms.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Standard check-in is at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request depending on our booking schedule.
Is the pool public or private?
There is one pool on the property available to all guests.
Currently we only have 4 units, so at most you would be sharing the pool with guests from only 3 other units.
How far is the pool from the tiny houses?
The pool is about 150-250 feet from each unit.
Units #2 & #3 are closest while #5 is the furthest from the pool.
How many guests can stay in each tiny home?
3 of our tiny homes (Units 2, 3 and 5) sleep 4 guests comfortably with 1 queen bed(s) and 1 queen loft bed.
Unit 4 sleeps 2 guests comfortably with 1 queen bed.
What amenities are included?
Each tiny home includes climate-controlled heating and air conditioning, a private bathroom with hot shower, a kitchenette with a full fridge, induction stove, oven (except Unit 4), microwave, comfortable bedding and linens, a private porch with seating, a smart TV, and couch. Access to our shared pool/hot tub, and outdoor grill / fire pit areas. We provide: coffee maker (with coffee and sweeteners), light snacks, basic kitchen supplies, and clean towels.
When is the hot tub available?
The hot tub will be available on a seasonal basis only, likely starting around November/December and ending around April/May.
Do you allow pets?
Unfortunately we do not allow pets at our property.
Our property is mostly untamed ranch land full of cactus, stickers, and all sorts of critters. We don't want any of our pet friends injured or worse around our property.
Do you have a grill?
We currently have a charcoal grill next to the pool deck that is available for anyone to use.
Plan to bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid. Please grill safely based on weather conditions.
Do you have a fire pit?
We have a bonfire size solostove near the pool area which is available for guests to use.

What wineries are closest to Texas Glampgrounds?
We're centrally located on the 290 wine trail near some of Hill Country's best wineries. Within 20 minutes you'll find William Chris Vineyards, Signor Vineyards, Portree Cellars, Becker Vineyards, Grape Creek Vineyards, and Garrison Brothers Distillery.
What else is there to do nearby besides wine tasting?
Beyond the wine trail, you're close to Pedernales Falls State Park for hiking and swimming, the LBJ Ranch National Historical Park, Enchanted Rock State Natural Area (about 40 minutes), downtown Fredericksburg shopping and dining, Johnson City, Luckenbach Texas, and dozens of local farms, antique shops, and live music venues.
Is Texas Glampgrounds good for a romantic getaway?
Absolutely! Our tiny homes are extremely popular for anniversaries, honeymoons, and couples' retreats. The quiet setting, private porches, and proximity to wine country create the perfect romantic atmosphere. Many guests combine their stay with winery tours, sunsets by the pool, and stargazing.
What should I pack for a glamping stay?
While we provide bedding and basic amenities, we recommend bringing comfortable outdoor clothing, sturdy walking shoes for vineyard exploring, sunscreen, a reusable water bottle, and any specific food or beverages you'd like.
Can I host an event or bring a large group?
Our tiny homes are designed for intimate stays. For larger groups or events, please contact us directly to discuss options.
Do I need a 4-wheel drive vehicle to reach the property?
No, our property is accessible by any vehicle.
Is there WiFi available?
Yes, we have high speed Wi-Fi available across the property.
Is there cell phone service?
Cell service is very spotty on our property so be sure to download important details before you arrive.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 2-4 weeks in advance, especially for weekends during peak season (February-May and September-December). Holiday weekends and special events in Fredericksburg often book up 2-3 months ahead.
What's your cancellation policy?
